Look Who's Gatecrashed the Party !!!

"HEY! Look's who's here!" Exclaimed Eeyore. "It's Oscar!"
"I don't mean to be rude Oscar, but this is Pooh Bear and Company," explained Pooh.
"You mean you came all the way from Sesame Street?" Eeyore asked, surprised.
Oscar looked, wide-eyed at the amazed company sitting on the nice checked picnic mat, getting ready for a nice afternoon tea, and exclaimed: " Well i smelled such a sweet smell of strawberries and...and.. something else, that i smelled all the way here!"
"What do you mean, something else? I can only see a bowl of big and sweet Californian strawberries," insisted Pooh.
"Yes, Oscar, I see nothing but strawberries," Eeyore said, very surprised.
"Oh, Yesiree, i can!" Oscar exclaimed.

Here comes PIGLET!

Piglet is a fictional character from A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh books. Piglet is a baby pig who is the best friend of Winnie-the-Pooh. Despite the fact that he is a "Very Small Animal" with a generally timid disposition, he often conquers his fears and seems to want to be brave.

Like most of the Pooh characters, Piglet was based on one of Christopher Robin Milne's stuffed animals. In the original color versions of Ernest H. Shepard's illustrations in the Winnie-the-Pooh books, Piglet has pale pink skin and a green jumper. He is the second shortest of the animals, with only Roo being slightly smaller (although they are close enough in size that Kanga cannot tell the difference when Piglet jumps in her pouch instead of Roo). His voice is described as "squeaky".

Winnie-the-Pooh, commonly shortened to Pooh Bear and once referred to as Edward Bear, is a fictional bear created by A. A. Milne. The first collection of stories about the character was the book Winnie-the-Pooh (1926), and this was followed by The House at Pooh Corner (1928). Milne also included a poem about the bear in the children’s verse book When We Were Very Young (1924) and many more in Now We Are Six (1927). All four volumes were illustrated by E. H. Shepard.



The hyphens in the character's name were later dropped when The Walt Disney Company adapted the Pooh stories into a series of Winnie the Pooh featurettes that became one of the company's most successful franchises worldwide.

The Pooh stories have been translated into many languages, notably including Alexander Lenard's Latin translation, Winnie ille Pu, which was first published in 1958, and, in 1960, became the first foreign-language book to be featured on the New York Times Best Seller List, and is the only book in Latin ever to have been featured therein.

Eeyore's here for a picnic!

Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh book series by A.A. Milne and the Walt Disney Company franchise of its cartoon adaptation. He is generally characterized as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, old grey stuffed donkey who is a friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh. Eeyore's best friend is Tigger.

His name is derived from the British pronunciation of "hee-haw."

Eeyore also appears in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons popularized by Disney studios. In merchandise by The Walt Disney Company, Eeyore sometimes has an uncharacteristic smile. Also, he is somewhat less caustic and sarcastic in the Disney version than in Alan Milne's original stories.




His tail was not always fixed to him by a nail, although Disney has chosen this as part of his permanent image. Eeyore lost his tail in the Hundred Acre Wood. Owl found it and used it as a bell-pull beside his door, before Winnie-the-Pooh found it for Eeyore. Christopher Robin then pinned it back on. According to Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, this was possible because Eeyore is full of sawdust. Also, when Eeyore appears in animation he is colored his natural grey, though he is coloured blue with a pink muzzle in merchandising.

The Classic Trio ~ With a Classic Green Twist

Do you know that the three monkeys with the classic poses "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" originated from Japan? Well i just found out.

The source that popularized this pictorial maxim is a 17th century carving over a door of the famous Tōshō-gū shrine in Nikkō, Japan. The maxim, however, probably originally came to Japan with a Tendai-Buddhist legend, from China in the 8th century (Nara Period).

In Chinese, a similar phrase exists in the Analects of Confucius: "Look not at what is contrary to propriety; listen not to what is contrary to propriety; speak not what is contrary to propriety; make no movement which is contrary to propriety" (非禮勿視， 非禮勿聽，非禮勿言， 非禮勿動). It may be that this phrase was shortened and simplified after it was brought into Japan.



Well, i like the poses but gave it a greenish twist. It can be customised and packaging is available.

It's Resurrection Day!!!

Today is Sunday, April 12, 2009. It is also Resurrection Day - The day when Jesus rose from the dead two thousand years ago. An empty tomb proved he's risen. Easter Sunday is what many people would remember today, but the real Easter is not about Bunnies and Chocolates, even though it's fun to have our lives filled with them.

For me, it's the basis of my faith.
