Food I Ate In Myanmar (Before Consumption ;-) )

Was it for archiving purposes? Maybe it was because it was a solo trip and i mostly went eating alone? Maybe i just like taking pictures? Anyway, it was a good reason to do an internal monologue; or external narrative. I took pictures of the food at some joints which i had my meals in Yangon. Bon Appetit???

Trip to Myanmar - Yangon

How many of us have the opportunity to interact with a country with vast natural resources, a country with amazing natural beauty? I'm talking about Myanmar; Burma or Rangoon. Whichever way you might call it, it was a trip down memory lane for me - the last time i set foot there was 15 years ago. Besides the evident symbols of modern consumerism - a sprinkling of shopping centres, Yangon remains very much the same for me in my memory of the Golden Land, 15 years ago.

Strawberry Fridge Magnet

Strawberries are delicious fruits and i must say it is one of my personal favourites. It is a rich source of vitamin C, vitamin K and manganese, as well as folic acid, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, copper, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids!

You can't resist them right?

Now you can make them to remind you to eat more fruits! Watch my video here:

Bon Appetit!!!

A Well-Deserved Chinese New Year Break

Amidst the hectic work schedules and frantic timelines, i took a break on the first day of CNY with my family to a relative secluded part of Johore, at a homestay called Bob's Homestay. You can google this and be led into his website. Bob is the boss and a very hospitable and honest one too. We stayed at a wooden two-storey accomodation known as the A-frame. Did all the cooking ourselves. Relaxed by the river and took naps outside my A-frame. My boys saw mudskippers, a flotation kelong, went into a rubber plantation and experienced Basic Kampong Life at a very affordable rate.

To everyone out there, I would like to thank you for your support since 2007 when this blog was established and a very happy new year ahead. KONG XI FA CAI!!!

Project Horse, Finished

White Horse, varnished. Finished, for now.

I realised that i was actually doing more research prior to embarking on the horse project. The horses (colourd photos) were taken with my family at Disneyland HK. Beautiful carousel going round and round.
